| Kristin Buck Accepts Science
Technology Position at Miles Community College |

Kristin
Buck, MCC WIRED Grant Director has accepted the position of
Science Technology Instructor for the college. Kristin will be
teaching Chemistry, Physics and the Biofuels Curriculum courses
this fall.
Kristin received her Associate of Science Degree in Chemistry
and Animal Science from Northwest College in Wyoming; her
Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with a Chemistry Minor from
Brigham Young University in Idaho; and her Master’s Degree in
Animal Science (Ruminant Nutrition) from University of Nebraska
in Lincoln, Nebraska. Kristin’s experience in the development of
the Biofuels program, instruction and presentation of biofuel
products and grant management will be an asset to the college.
Kristin has had articles published on the Use of Dried
Distillers Grains to Extend Range Capacity, is a member of the
National Ag Curriculum Standards Committee for Biotechnology and
has received numerous outstanding scholar awards.
Mrs. Buck would like to see the Biofuels program expand and to
offer more courses related to green technology. She is also
excited to be part of the strengthening and expanding of the MCC
Science Department. Kristin enjoys watching her younger siblings
sporting activities, is assisting with 4-H projects and is
active in FFA. Kristin has been married for one year to her high
school sweetheart Zack and they reside in Rosebud.
