Michael Emmett Hardy from Seattle, WA has been hired to fill the math instructor position at Miles Community College. Dr. Hardy is eager to become a member of the teaching team at the college and anxious to share in Miles Community College’s passion for student success.

Mike comes to the college with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, a Master’s Degree in Statistics from the University of Washington, and a PhD in Mathematics with an emphasis in Applied Statistics from the University of New Mexico.

Dr. Hardy has 3 years experience as a high school math teacher in East Wenatchee, Washington, 6 years experience as a professor of math at Texas A & M - Corpus Christi and 2 years experience as a math instructor at Highline Community College and Green River Community College in Washington state. Michael was a Grad Student Associate with the Statistics Group at the Los Alamos National Laboratory for 1 year.

Mike recently spent 3 years in Seminary with the Paulist Fathers, a Catholic Society of the Apostolic Life in Washington, D.C.

Mike is eager to start his teaching experience at Miles Community College.
