Sarah Pett has been hired to fill the position of Student Services Receptionist at Miles Community College. Sarah comes to Miles City with her husband from Iowa. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Iowa State University and is currently completing her Master of Fine Arts Degree.

Sarah is the nonfiction Editor for Flyway; A Journal of Writing and Environment. She was a graduate teaching assistant at Iowa State University for the Library Instruction and the Creative Writing programs and was a learning strategist for Iowa State University Athletic Academic Services.

Sarah has been the principal harpist with the Heartland Philharmonic in Omaha, the University of Nebraska Wind Symphony in Omaha, and the Iowa State University Orchestra. She has also played with the Omaha Symphony and the Central Iowa Symphony. Sarah’s husband Morgan is a new science teacher at Custer County District High School. Sarah and Morgan are expecting their first child in October.
