The Miles Community College Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Club is collecting donations of non-perishable and personal items for the local food bank. Their drive runs through December 14, 2009 and their goal is 500 pounds of donated goods.

Monday, December 7th, 2009, members of PTK along with area youth that are participating in the Office of Public Instruction (OPI) Youth Days at MCC will be going door to door within walking distance of MCC to collect donations. In case of inclement weather, these students will be calling area residents for donations that can be either delivered to MCC or to schedule a time that the student can pick up donations. In either case, the times that they will be seeking donations are from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
