If you would like to take up a new past time and discover the fun of knitting, Miles Community College Center for Distance Education and Community Outreach (DECO) will teach “Beginning Knitting” on Tuesday evenings, February 16 to March 2 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the MCC conference room. Join instructor Margaret DeMontigny and learn the basic skills in knitting, casting on and casting-off, the knit stitch and yarn-overs. Materials required for the class include: ten inch straight knitting needles and one ball of Peaches and Cream cotton yarn. Participants will make a cotton dish cloth.
