Need a GED but aren’t able to come to classes? Come see what the free GED Online program is all about during an open house on Tuesday, May 18, between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. at Miles Community College Room 208. The Center for Academic Success will be hosting a GED Online Discovery event open to the public demonstrating how to navigate through the online sites and giving attendees hands-on practice with the online lessons. If you are hesitant to try online studies because you’re unfamiliar with using computers, on May 19 and 20, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. there will also be free computer-readiness classes geared toward skills you need to feel confident using the online GED-study program as well as email.
The GED Online program solves many scheduling problems for students. Lessons are tailored to what students need to review. They can study at any time of day, and from any location with Internet access. Miles Community College’s Center for Academic Success was a pilot program in the state of Montana for GED Online preparation and has been using it successfully with GED students since 2007.
