Miles Community College Recognizes Employees Years of Service
Miles Community College honored their full-time employees at the fourth annual Employee Recognition Luncheon on Monday, May 12, 2008. The ceremony was held at the Miles Community College Smith Student Union Building (cafeteria) and honored employees with certificates and years of service pins from five to twenty-five years of service. Retiring employees were honored with special recognition. Honored guests were Miles Community College retirees. President Stefani Hicswa opened the program with appreciation for employee’s contributions and longevity. Sharon Wilcox spoke on behalf of the Miles Community College Board of Trustees and President Hicswa provided special recognition for retiring employees. President Hicswa and Tad Torgerson, Dean of Administration, presented the years of service pins and certificates.
Years of service were recognized on the academic year start date to the five to twenty-five year cycle. Employees receiving years of service awards include the following:
Five Years – Jeff Brabant and Sheila Seifert; Mary Setera, long-term/part-time (2003)
Ten Years – Wendy Hodgson (1998)
Fifteen Years – Carol Hudson and Shawn Neary (1993)
Twenty-Five Years – Julie Blotsky (1983)
Retirement Recognition – Julie Blotsky (1983), Kathleen Wankel (1991), and Della Howell (2004)
Resignation – Annette Gorton (2001), Dan Archer and Jeralee McCleary (2006)
The Miles Community College Food Services provided a buffet lunch.
