Miles Community College maintains a permanent
endowment, named Miles Community College Endowment, which
accepts funds for special needs and projects on behalf
of the College. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the
Endowment raises and manages gifts from individuals,
corporations, and other organizations to support and enhance
the mission on Miles Community College. The Endowment is
governed by a Board of Directors made up of nine community
members.
Mission
The Miles Community
College Endowment is dedicated to establishing and
maintaining a permanent endowment fund through the
solicitation, investment, and management of donations for
the purpose of providing scholarships and assisting in
capital improvements and special needs of the College for
the betterment of the students, faculty, staff, and
community.
History
The Miles Community
College Endowment was created in 1964 to provide support and
assistance to the College. Recent projects of the Endowment
include:

Campus beautification projects.

Start-up funding for
a new Agricultural Program.
■
Start-up funding for
a new Heavy Equipment Program.
■
Repair/installation of an
energy-saving heating system in the Centra.
■
Provide
financial assistance for construction of new dormitories.
■
Provide scholarships through annual
Endowment
Scholarship Drive.
