Miles Community College promotes student success
and lifelong learning through accessible, quality programs and
community partnerships. What better way to provide quality
academics and a superior student experience than by creating an
indoor atmosphere to learn the foundations of natural
horsemanship. MCC began offering Equine Studies as a program in
our community in 2007. Graduates will be prepared for a career
in equine business and management, colt training, assistant
trainer or facilities management. The students learn how to
communicate effectively with their horse, understand basic horse
care and nutrition, and start a colt from the ground up;
furthermore, they establish a solid foundation to go into such
disciplines as reigning, cutting, roping, ranch horses, and
trail horses. |
