Full Description:
1. Supervises and evaluates nursing programs.
2. Negotiates with community agencies and institutions for learning facilities and experiences.
3. Serves as liaison between the Nursing Program and the Montana State Board of Nursing.
4. Coordinates meetings between the nursing faculty and nursing staff members at affiliated agencies on a semester basis.
5. Prepares and administers the budgets of the Nursing Programs in consultation with the Dean of Academic Affairs.
6. Prepares required reports regarding the Division of Nursing and its component programs for accrediting agencies and the College.
7. Maintains student records as per program and institutional policies.
8. Organizes class schedules and calculates load for each instructor every semester.
9. Provides the business office with contract needs for full and part-time instructors within the nursing department each year.
10. Assembles and edits materials promoting recruitment in the Nursing programs.
11. Addresses public groups regarding the Nursing and Allied Health Programs.
12. Voting member of the Nursing Admissions Committee of the College.
13. Conducts regular nursing faculty meetings.
14. Chief academic advisor for nursing students
15. Interviews and makes recommendation for hiring of nursing faculty.
16. Teaches as appropriate in the Nursing Program.
17. Serves on the Administrative Council and Academic Standards and Curriculum Committee.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Accredited College of Nursing
WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years experience in clinical nursing and teaching

Heavy Equipment Instructor

Full Description:
Meet regularly with classes as scheduled and provide appropriate learning experiences to meet students' needs and course objectives.
2. Prepare and maintain a current syllabus with clear course objectives for all assigned courses; inform students of course objectives at the beginning of each term.
3. Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades; complete and submit on schedule all required records and reports.
4. Advise students as assigned under the faculty advisor program; maintain appropriate records and documentation.
5. Work cooperatively with Dean of Academic Affairs in determining course assignments and class schedules.
6. Abide by and assist as appropriate in the enforcement of college policies and regulations.
7. Maintain a minimum work schedule of 35 hours per week on campus (includes off-campus activities required by assigned responsibilities); post and adhere to a regular office hours schedule.
8. Serve on faculty committees as assigned; attend regular and special faculty meetings, all-college meetings, division meetings, in-service sessions, and other assigned committee meetings.
9. Assist in the identification, ordering, inventorying, storage, security and maintenance of essential instructional supplies and equipment.
10. Assist in the maintenance of a safe classroom, laboratory, and college workplace environment for students and employees of the college.
11. Assist as appropriate in the ongoing revision and development of the college curriculum.
12. Assist as appropriate in the operating and performance of essential instructional support services and activities, including Library, Academic Advising, Assessment and Counseling Center, Recruitment, Admissions, Registrar, Registration, Financial Aid, Student Activities, Business Office, Resource Development, Long-Range Planning, and Community Service.
14. Participate in the mentoring of new and part-time faculty for the purpose of instructional improvement.
15. Be an advocate of the college; endeavor to enhance its image and strengthen its role in providing programs and services to students and community; this includes activities involved with recruiting and retaining students.
16. Perform other duties and responsibilities as mutually determined with appropriate administrative supervisors
Qualifications:
EDUCATION: A minimum of Associate’s Degree with proper certification or eight years of work experience in the field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred with work experience.
WORK RELATED EXPERINCE: Demonstrated teaching or supervisory experience. CDL license to transport students to lab site.
