Provides career counseling, training, and education for individuals who are seeking employment.  Individuals are provided information on employment and training programs including classroom training and on-the-job training funded by state and federal programs.  Regularly scheduled workshops cover a wide range of topics including self-growth issues, computer literacy, labor market information and high wage/high demand employment opportunities.  A lending library and computer area with internet access is available for public use.  Employment specialists are available for assistance and referrals.

This program worked with the current welfare program, TANF – Temporary Assistance to Needy Families.  Provides screening for post-secondary education needed for certain eligibility requirements related to TANF.  Provides career counseling and training to assist individuals in becoming self-sufficient.  Provides individuals with financial assistance while becoming self-sufficient, and assist individuals in employment.  Concentrates on career assessment assistance, job seeking skills, assertiveness training/self confidence building, and a variety of other self-growth topics.  These services provided to Custer, Prairie, Powder River, Garfield, McCone, and Rosebud counties.
