Miles Community College offers a five (5) semester Associate of Science in Nursing Degree which prepares the student for the registered nursing licensure exam (NCLEX). Nursing education is delivered on campus with distance options available. The MCC program accepts 38 qualified students per year. These students will be assigned to various clinical partner sites whose student numbers & assignments vary yearly. Selected students are notified of their acceptance and clinical assignments in July.

The Miles Community College Nursing Program prepares students to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and enter the workforce as compassionate, safe, and competent nursing professionals. Graduates who successfully complete the program and pass the NCLEX-RN may be eligible to apply for registered nursing licensure.
Nursing licensure requirements are established by individual state boards of nursing and may change over time. While the NCLEX-RN is a national examination, states may have additional requirements for initial licensure, licensure by endorsement, background checks, continuing education, or other regulatory requirements.
Montana participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), which allows eligible nurses holding a multistate license to practice in other participating compact states, subject to applicable laws and regulations. Students who intend to practice nursing outside Montana should carefully review the licensure requirements of the state in which they plan to seek employment.
