MCC CAMPUS MASK REQUIREMENTS

Miles Community College, in response to the rapidly changing impacts of COVID-19 both regionally and nationally, is complying with the recent state mandate made by Governor Bullock, which states face coverings must be worn in indoor public spaces in counties with four or more active cases of COVID-19. The Montana University System has also directed campuses in the state to implement practices and protocols for wearing face coverings on campus properties.

MCC has implemented a 'Mask Required' policy on campus, effective immediately. Face coverings, which must cover both mouth and nose, must be worn by any person over the age of five, who plans to enter indoor MCC facilities. Those who are not able to wear a mask safely may contact the Student Services office at 406-874-6100, prior to entering any building on campus, to see if there are alternate options for conducting business. Signs have been placed on public entrances with information regarding these requirements. MCC staff are able to provide online or remote services and appointments for a number of campus functions.

MCC faculty and staff will be wearing masks in public areas on campus and in any situation where social distancing is difficult. Masks will also be required in outside areas where groups exceed 50 people or where social distancing is not possible.

Miles Community College will continue to be vigilant in promoting personal safety as well and using extended cleaning efforts in public areas. MCC also continues to assess the national, regional and local situation and will work closely with our public health officials in our campus response to this ongoing health situation.
