About this Role
The Director of Institutional Advancement provides strategic leadership for private fundraising, public and private grant development, alumni relations, Foundation support, and institutional advancement communications. This position works closely with the President, the Miles Community College Foundation, community partners, donors, and campus leadership to secure resources that advance the College's mission and support student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fundraising initiatives to support scholarships, academic programs, capital projects, and other institutional priorities.
- Identify, develop, write, and manage public and private grant opportunities while ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Miles Community College Foundation and support Foundation Board activities.
- Develop and implement alumni engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships and expand philanthropic support.
- Oversee institutional advancement communications, marketing, and public relations activities that support advancement efforts.
- Manage scholarship programs, donor records, and advancement reporting systems.
- Represent the College with community organizations, donors, businesses, government agencies, and other external partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in communications, marketing, business, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, grant writing, development, marketing, communications, or related advancement activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, project management, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.
Preferred:
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations, higher education, or community foundations.
- Experience with donor management, grant management, or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Knowledge of philanthropic best practices, donor stewardship, planned giving, and alumni engagement.

About the Role
This individual will work under the direction of the lead nursing course instructor to support student success in clinical and lab settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise assigned students
- Coordinate clinical schedules and assignments
- Contribute to evaluations, progressing notes and feedback on written work
- Support curriculum and policy development
- Maintain accurate attendance records
- Facilitate learning through simulations and demonstrations in skills lab
Provide timely, meaningful feedback to nursing students on written assignments, during face-to-face discussions, and in real-time learning situations
Qualifications:Required:
- Associate of Nursing
- Unencumbered Montana nursing license
- Bring a minimum of two years of comprehensive bedside nursing experience including practice in long-term care, Med/Surgical, and similar clinical settings.
Preferred
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Five years of direct patient care to include, but not limited to: Med/Surgical unit, OB unit, or long-term Care unit
